My space. It comforts and inspires. When I sit down to design, I'm often not thinking about fashion. I am thinking about the simple but explosive beauty of a weathered hardwood floor, or a glass jar on a windowsill, or a wall of peeling paint. The space I inhabit strongly directs my work. It is the foundation. I have designed in a hand-built cabin, a vanilla airstream, and most recently, a big old drafty house and each of these homes is reflected in Filly. I have included images of these spaces as both tribute and explanation. Because everything matters. Nothing is haphazard, or casual, or accidental. It is all part of the same project: Beauty. A curated life.
